Laura grew up in Manhattan, Kansas, and has shared her life with a variety of animals, including dogs, cats, guinea pigs and a horse. She has worked with small and large animal vets, a zoological center and the Kansas State University horse farm, as well as animal shelters where her focus has been on behavior modification. Her training includes an associate degree in veterinary technology, a bachelor’s degree in animal science from Kansas State University, and a master’s degree in physical therapy from the University of Kansas Medical Center. In addition, she is a Certified Canine Rehabilitation Practitioner (CCRP) and she has three dog training certificates. A happy Pembroke Welsh corgi named Stitch shares her life, and she enjoys spending free time with friends, training dogs and playing the piano. She also finds time to go kayaking, hiking, cycling and swimming.
