Dr. Samuel Burkhardt, DVM, DACVS-SA, is a Surgical Oncology Fellow Candidate who grew up near Lexington, Kentucky, and fell in love with the Pacific Northwest after a hiking trip with his brother. He earned his DVM from Cornell University in 2020, completed a surgical residency at the University of Pennsylvania, and pursued a surgical oncology fellowship at The Ohio State University in 2025. Inspired by his family’s experience with cancer, Dr. Burkhardt is passionate about surgical oncology and providing compassionate, advanced care to his patients. Outside of work, he enjoys collecting and building LEGO sets, backpacking with his girlfriend, baking cookies, and spending time with his three cats—Lanie, LuLu, and Kiwi.
