Julia grew up in Seattle and has called Eugene home since 2008. She’s always had a passion for animals and knew early on that she wanted to work in their care.

Her four-legged family includes Ocala, a 23-year-old Thoroughbred mare and great-granddaughter of Secretariat, Orbit the belly-rub-loving rescue cat, Moxiferous Rex III the fetch-playing Maine Coon/American Bobtail mix, and Perseus the energetic Pembroke Welsh Corgi who enjoys herding sheep.

Outside of work, Julia loves photography, especially wildlife, and often captures special moments of her pets and friends at horse shows.
