Veterinary Assistant – Patient Care

Marisol serves as a dedicated Veterinary Assistant at Oregon Veterinary Referral Associates. Originally from Mexico, she relocated to Arizona 13 years ago to pursue her passion for veterinary medicine and recently made Oregon her home in September 2024. Marisol’s journey in veterinary care began when she attended the veterinary assistant program at West-MEC in Phoenix, which equipped her with essential skills for her role. Prior to joining OVRA, she gained valuable experience working in a general practice.

Marisol’s lifelong commitment to animal welfare began at the age of 12 when she started fostering dogs. Her personal journey with her own dogs deeply reflects her passion. She adopted Lila, a 4-year-old Mexican street dog, saving her from the brink of tick fever, and Señor, a resilient 16-year-old rescued from a beach in Mexico, who now lives happily despite being toothless.

Beyond her professional commitments, Marisol enjoys reading, thrifting, exploring new places, antique shopping, and spending quality time with friends through leisurely walks. Her dedication to animal care and well-rounded interests make her an invaluable asset to the OVRA team.
